Proposals for Poster Sessions or Participant Idea Exchanges
| Recognition and Documentation |
|
Titles and authors of posters and participant idea exchange presentations will appear in the Institute program, as a permanent record of your contribution. Also, a record of your attendance and participation is maintained in the Institute office to assist you in documenting your professional career development. After the conference, we will provide a personal letter certifying your participation in the Institute, if you request it. |
All participants in the Institute are invited to submit proposals for posters
and/or participant idea exchanges for consideration by the program committee.
All proposals received by October 1, 2011 will be considered for the program.
Later proposals will be considered if space remains available. Submissions should
be related to the teaching of psychology. This includes, but is not limited
to, teaching techniques, innovations, evaluation, and philosophy. Each proposal
should be double-spaced and include: a) whether it is being submitted as a poster
presentation or a participant idea exchange, b) the title, c) the author name(s),
institution(s), and snail mail and email address(es), and d) a summary of no
more than 250 words. Graphs, tables, and photographs need not be included. Proposals
may be submitted with registration forms by mail or fax, or by email to Robert
Hendersen at hendersr@gvsu.edu, with a copy to the NITOP office, jfetzner@illinois.edu.
Proposals for participant idea exchanges should include the discussion questions
which will be raised during the session. Presenters at poster sessions and participant
idea exchanges will be notified promptly in writing regarding acceptance. Poster
presenters will also receive detailed guidelines about how to prepare their
materials for the conference (also see
).
The lists of titles in the various poster and PIE sessions
will be posted on the
page as soon as they are available. These schedules and the discussion
questions for participant idea exchanges will also be included in registration
materials on-site.
The poster sessions will be held at 3:00-4:00 pm on Tuesday and 4:30-5:30 pm on Wednesday and Thursday. The participant idea exchanges will be held on Tuesday from 4:15-5:15 pm, and on Wednesday and Thursday from 3:15-4:15 pm.
